About
I'm a data scientist with 8+ years of experience turning data into models and knowledge for better decision-making. I combine mathematical, statistical, and computational modeling with hands-on engineering, and I care about shipping tools that work in production.
My recent work centers on generative AI: LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, and chatbots that automate internal processes, uncover inefficiencies, and put software to the test. My path is diverse by design: at every crossroads I chose the project that interested me most, and the common thread has always been data, machine learning, and AI.
Beyond work, I meditate, play guitar, read widely, and write essays in my newsletter, Navegarte.
These are some of the specific areas and skills that I've worked on in the past:
Generative AI
LLMs, RAG, agents, and chatbots for process automation and QA.
Economics research
ML with Complexity Economics (Hidalgo & Hausmann) and Ergodicity Economics (Peters & Adamou).
AI safety & policy
Protocols and recommendations for public-sector clients.
Customer analytics
Multilingual NLP for predictive analytics and customer understanding.
Computational finance
Market microstructure modeling, efficient tick-size performance prediction, and statistical modeling of trading data.
Data engineering
ETL pipelines and OLAP for a microservices video-on-demand platform.
